Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by collecting vital signs and updating medical histories.
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, ensuring that needed instruments are ready.
- Conduct basic lab tests and properly manage specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Keep patient records accurate and confidential, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Manage scheduling of patient appointments and handle office communications.
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and skincare practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of examination rooms and medical supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, especially relevant to dermatology.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for patient and staff interactions.
- Strong ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software
